For more information regarding births and deaths, you may want to consult the Office of Health Information and Research (OHIR) with the California Department of Health Services.

From their website, you may download a variety of information, either as part of larger reports or as stand alone tables. These tables provide data on a variety of topics, including births, deaths (including fetal and infant deaths), and population demographics.

Data are presented in a variety of forms (e.g., counts, rates, ratios, percent distributions), for different geographic levels (nation, state, county, city health department, ZIP code), and time periods (e.g., annual, multi-year trends).
