The Maternal, Child & Adolescent Health Report 2010 provides a broad overview of health, disease, and behavior affecting the women and children of Riverside County. Rates for unhealthy behaviors, and poor health outcomes are generally worse for Riverside County as compared to the State. Our population demographics, high level of unemployment and higher poverty levels due to the current economic
crisis may be an influence.
There are many opinions about how to best prioritize programs with limited resources. One common theme is the use of data to guide decisions and policies. Reports such as this and other publications help provide that data to our community partners and policy-makers. |
